WEDDING FLOWERS AND THEIR MEANINGS

In Victorian times meanings were associated with flowers and in our modern era it's lovely to still have the opportunity of expression through flowers.  It's no wonder that Roses and Peony are the top two wedding flowers when you look at their meanings. 

We've listed below a few of the more popular flowers used in wedding bouquet designs.  Do you see your favourite here?

ROSE = Love, passion, beauty (All year - hothouse) Check with your florist about your favourite variety (eg Amy Lou are only available in Summer)

PEONY =  Prosperity, good fortune (Spring/Summer). Can be available via imports other times of the year.  Check with your florist as there are great substitute options outside of their season too.

LISIANTHUS = appreciation, gratitude (Summer, Autumn, Early Winter)

CALLA LILY- Elegance, purity (late Spring, early Summer)
